hired under this classification must hold a B.A. or B.S. degree, in
Anthropology or a related field, with experience in archaeology or cultural
resource management. Individuals must

Position Description:
The
Public Service Assistant Specialist of the Public Service Archaeology and
Architecture Program performs duties that require advanced education and
practical training in anthropological cultural resource management and must
exercise good judgment and discretion in decision making. Specific duties include archival research,
archaeological field research, architectural field research laboratory research,
materials analysis, preparation of written materials, and administrative
assistance. This particular position
requires the ability to work with supervision in field and laboratory
settings. The position requires the
application of past cultural resource knowledge to make informed decisions. The position requires up to 50 percent travel
